WALNUTS? sorry ina, love you but i've got to pass, i'd like my first pesto experience to be as authentic as possible. i'll have to go with a recipe from my favorite italian chef, the lovely giada de laurentiis
i found a great grilled tuna with basil pesto recipe and served it over brown rice. it was a very fun meal to make!
a few comments:
- this recipe calls for salt but i'd skip it, i think the parmesan makes it salty enough
- i have yet to perfect searing/ grilling tuna to medium-rare. please share tips if you have one
- don't forget to buy wild tuna, not farmed.
